I was brought to tears when I woke up this morning to hear the news of the death of Steven Curtis Chapman's youngest daughter Maria only 5 years old. I have always been a huge fan of Steven Curtis Chapman since hearing his song 18 years ago "I Will Be Here" that we chose as our wedding song. (I even had the words "I Will Be Here" engraved in Dale's wedding band). It was around the time that we began our journey to Faith that I learned he too had an adopted daughter from China and was in the process of adopting again. In hearing this it just some how was another red thread sign to me that the journey we were taking to our daughter was meant to be. I remember being brought to tears when we sat with Faith in China on our last final hours in China at the White Swan Hotel (we were not staying at this hotel only visiting) and the song "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman came on at the hotel. I couldn't believe I was sitting there in China with my daughter listening to the song " I Will Be Here." It was just an emotional moment for me.
I have always continued to follow the Chapman's family journey and the wonderful love they give to help families through their journey's of adoption. I can not even begin to imagine what they are going through right now. Their daughter just turned 5, the same age Faith will be in just a couple of weeks. I recently helped Dean's school put a DVD together and in searching for music to use I came across the Steven Curtis Chapman song "Remembering You" from the Narnia movie. I fell in love with the song and decided to use it in the DVD. So I post it now in memory of their daughter. All of my thoughts and prayers are with this family.

What a wonderful tribute - my heart is breaking for this poor family. . .
Like you I too have been a fan of Steven Curtis Chapman for many years. And was touch and inspired by his and Mary Beths love for orphans. I join you in prayer during this heartbreaking time.
