Faith's first parade.............

Faith was in her first parade on Saturday! It was our town's Fiesta Days parade and she was in it from the dance studio where she takes her dance class. They rode in the back of a flat bed truck all decorated with balloons. It was a cold, dreary, drizzly day so not the best day for a parade, but they had fun anyway. (Funny because last week-end it was HOT with temps over 100) After it was over and they hopped off the truck Faith ran to me and when I asked her if she had fun she said, "I was a little nervous."


We are chilling out at home the rest of the long week-end. We have been extremely busy these last couple of weeks and need to take a breather from all activities. The boys have been so busy with school reports, projects, testing, open house, and concerts! Whew! Just that time of year for it all. Pearl is still keeping us all on our toes. Never a dull moment with her! The house training could be better, but could be worse. We still have a way to go. Thankfully she has the pooping down and only having pee accidents in the house. Usually it is on the floor which is easy to clean up. The toughest part with Pearl has been all the puppy nipping and scratching. Faith has been having a really tough time with it and she can not tolerate it. I am constantly playing referee between the two of them. Ruby was such a perfect puppy that we never had to deal with any of that with her. We love Pearl to pieces though and can't imagine our days without her now! I've been planning Faith's birthday party and she has decided she wants it at our local bounce and jump play place. This will be our first birthday party after 12 years not having our child's birthday party at home! At first I was reluctant, but then decided it might be pretty nice not to have to worry about all the cleaning before and after the party! We are pulling the kids out of school for a few days this week and heading to San Diego. Ready for a little get away before all the summer crowds! Last week-end when we had our 100 degree plus temps we set up the blow up pool and the kids spent most of the week-end in it......................
