~Mother's Day~ (a little late)

On Saturday we went to the military shopping exchange to do a little shopping for ME! It was pretty funny with the whole family shopping for a purse. They had me try out several and we all finally decided on this one! It's a Vera Bradley. I love the print!

I wanted a picture on Mother's Day with my kids and boy it was like pulling teeth trying to get them to take one! I promised them just one....so here it is!

The BEST gifts are the handmade ones! On Sunday morning the kids came in and brought me handmade gifts and cards. It was so sweet. Faith always wakes up on the week-ends before we do and she'll come and get in bed with us. On Sunday we heard her walk down the hall to our room and the first thing she said was "Happy Mother's Day Mommy." Ohhhh, what a special gift that was!

Jeez...I'm looking at these close up pictures of myself and really starting to notice the lines and wrinkles! Yikes! Anyone know of a great face cream!

We had a nice day going to Old Town Sacramento with a last minute stop off first at Denny's for brunch. (originally we were going to eat in Sacramento and I am so glad we stopped off because everything was sooooo crowded!) We took a ride on the old steam train and had some homemade ice cream and smoothies before heading home.
