Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!

Thought I would share our Christmas tree with you. It looks pathetically small this year as this is our first year in a house with such huge ceilings. When in the military, moving so much and living in at times very small base housing it was always easiest to have this artificial tree. Believe me it looked much bigger in our other homes! After setting it up this year I wanted to go out and buy a much bigger tree, but Reed being our sentimental one that he is asked if we could please keep this one one more year. How could we not! I plan to buy a bigger tree for next year, but think I will always hang on to this tree and find a place somewhere for it. We did try a real tree a couple years ago and it was fun to go and actually chop down our own tree, but once in the house we just did not love it as much as we loved this tree. The ornaments just did not look right on it and it just didn't seem like our tree. We have just a hodge podge of all sorts of ornaments.....ones the kids have made through the years, ones I buy each year for the kids, ones from places we travel to.......just very special memories! Our Tree
small I know, but we love it ......

and think it is beautiful!

ornament I bought for Faith last year...I loved the fact I can buy girly ornaments now!

our Hawaii ornament I bought from our trip this year and Dale's grill ornament

Our "Texas" one I bought the year we were married. My first year not living in Texas!

We got this one the year we were waiting to bring Faith home in honor of her.

Hand made by Reed

Hand made by Dean in first grade!

Dales Mom made these for us one year (she passed away several years ago near Christmas) These are not the stockings we fill, but we hang them each year now in her memory.

I bought this tree at Pier 1 last year at their end of Christmas sale and I just love it! I put the tiny silver bulbs on it and they look so pretty. Each year at the end of Christmas I try to buy something special I want for the following Christmas and I am so happy with this purchase!

BTW where did you get the ornament with the China girl holding a tea pot? I just love it!

Thanks Joanne for your sweet comments. I know! I love that ornament as well....it's from hallmark. Funny it isn't a Chinese girl, but I thought it was just too cute and something about it did reminfd me of Faith when I bought it.
