Blogging with a Purpose..................

Last week Joanne at CHINA PRINCESS nominated me for a "blogging with a purpose" award!! I was soooooo very touched and excited to receive this. I feel terrible for just getting around to posting about it now, but to be honest I had never heard of a "blog award" and I had to figure out what I was suppose to do with it! I started reading Joanne's blog several months ago as she and her family celebrated the arrival of their little sweetheart Mia. She is soooo cute and always full of smiles. I love watching Mia as she blossoms and it is fun to watch Joanne with her "little princess" as she also has 2 boys. (and did I mention a Golden retriever that looks just like our Ruby) We have a lot in common! So thank you very much Joanne!!

I'm also so happy that someone is actually reading my blog and enjoying it! I started blogging about 8 months ago as a way to keep family and close friends updated with pictures and events. I did not know much about blogging, but thought I'd give it a go. I' m also very computer unsavvy so I thought it would be a fun way for me learn more. Although it still seems all new to me I have really been enjoying blogging and I'm also enjoying meeting other bloggers along the way! This is just a wonderful bonus I didn't know I would come to enjoy so much. I'm not too sure where I will continue to go with my blogging as I have been thinking about some changes, but for now I will just continue to keep everyone updated! I am not getting many comments, although I have several visitors each day so I'm not sure why that is? I really am a nice person....really!:)


So now I am suppose to nominate 5 other fellow bloggers that have not received the award. I have noticed several blogs that I read already have received this award so instead of breaking that rule by nominating them, I will break the rule of only nominating 2 people. One blog that I have been following the longest and the other the newest blog I have found:

The Ridlon Room: I have been following Ramona's blog the longest as her adorable daughter Katie-Beth is from the same province in China that Faith is from. There are only a small number of adoptions from this area so getting to know this family has been so very special to me. I hope that one day our girls will get to meet each other! It is always fun to see what Katie-Beth and her younger brother are up to next!


The Lewis Family Goes to China: I just found this blog recently and am loving it! This family has spent the last year living in China along with their 2 sons and daughter. I love reading about their adventures and seeing all the photos of China. What a wonderful gift of having the chance to live there. It brings back many memories of our adventures living over seas. I would love to have the chance to live in China for a year, but I guess I will have to live vicariously through reading their blog:)
