This morning the first thing Faith said when she walked into our room was,
"Is it my birthday...is today June 6th??!!"
Yes, it is!!! Today our baby girl is 5 years old!!!! Faith was so cute because she seemed a little unsure about the whole idea about turning 5. For an entire month she has been full of anticipation for this day to get here counting down the days on the calendar and now that she is 5 she is just not too sure she really wants to be 5:) On the way to school this morning she told me "Mom, I think I'm still 4." That's fine with me, she can take her time growing up;)
When she arrived to school she was very serious about all the teachers wishing her a Happy Birthday! It's like she is really taking it all in that she is a year older. (There is a 24 hour stomach bug going around her classroom and I'm hoping this sudden serious change in her isn't a sign of her coming down with the bug right on her birthday! She really didn't have much of an appetite yesterday and was acting very tired all day..yikes!)
We plan to have a quiet celebration today with just us. Depending how she is feeling we will go out to dinner and open a few small gifts. Her party with all of her friends is on Sunday. I still have a few things to take care of today to prepare for her party. I just can't believe she is 5!!!!!!!
