San Diego Zoo..................

We actually went to Lego land the second day of our trip and the zoo on the third day, but I haven't down loaded the lego land photos yet. I took my little camera to lego land so I wasn't dragging it around on all the rides. So I will be posting our zoo photos first. The San Diego zoo is amazing! Slightly overwhelming at first. The plants and landscaping alone are incredible to see. We got there around 10:00 am and stayed until about 4:00 when Faith was completely DONE! We paid extra to take a bus tour ride and a ride on the sky tram and we still did not even see it all. It would have been nice to have had an extra day for the zoo......you definitely need 2 days to see it all. A lot of walking!!

Faith loved these snakes. She kept wanting to go back to take another look. We read "Verdi" as soon as we got home:)

These turtles were fascinating to watch....they are HUGE!

My little monkey on my back...................

notice the picture in the back of the gorilla with her baby...........Faith wanted to be a baby gorilla.
They have a sky tram that takes you across the zoo so you can see some of the animals from above. It was a neat way to view the zoo and really lots of fun. The boys loved it, especially since they got to take their own tram across without Mom and Dad.

I could have spent the entire day just enjoying all the plants

Heading to see the pandas!!! Hi-light of the day!!

We had to wait in line about 20 minutes just to view them

Reed and Dean waiting in line
Can you see the panda!!!!

We were very lucky because all of the pandas were out for our viewing!!! They really were exciting to see and just so cute!

They had a funding set up at the panda viewing to donate to the earthquake funding in China. Reed was the one that noticed it and asked if he could put some money in.

the amount of bamboo growing in the zoo was incredible

We decided to take this sleeping baby panda home with us!!:)
(Faith had to have this panda mask! She loved it!)

We had a fantastic time at the zoo. The San Diego zoo is pretty amazing and I definitely recommend seeing it if you have the chance!

Growing up my father was a pilot in the Navy and we live in San Diego from the time that I was 7- till right before I turned 10. Three things I remember clearly from these years were the times we spent at Sea World, the beach and the San Diego zoo. What fun it was to live some of those memories today. Thank you.

Your family looked like they were having a wonderful time! and the pictures are amazing!!!

Hugs,

Krista
