4 Years Ago Today...................

We arrived in China after a very long flight from London England to meet our amazing daughter and sister for the first time! These days leading up to meeting Faith seem like so long ago now, yet I can remember every detail like it was yesterday! I remember being so thankful that the boys were with us and able to experience not only watching their sister being placed in our arms for the first time, but also experiencing her birth country through their eyes. I knew they would be able to tell Faith stories about China one day in ways that only children see things. I remember it feeling so surreal watching the boys climb the Great Wall of China knowing this is their sisters birth country and we had not even met her yet. I remember thinking how all I wanted to do was get to my daughter and how crazy all the "sight seeing" seemed when my daughter was there waiting for me, yet I was thankful to be experiencing her country and getting to know and love it before having her placed in my arms. Dean and Reed with our luggage before heading to London for our flight. I can't get over how light we packed for a 15 day trip to China! We were such travelers back then! Now this is what we would take for a week-end trip. We had to take a 5 hour shuttle ride to London from our home in England. The flight to China went great! It was such an empty flight and I remember the boys were able to have their own row of seats to stretch out on and fall asleep. Dale or I did not get much sleep at all being the expectant parents!

The boys were able to sleep soundly our first night in China even on those hard beds! I remember saying to Dale they forgot to put the mattresses on the box springs...that's how hard the beds were!:) lol!

One of the many people that had to stop and get their photo taken with Dean and Reed. They became so accustomed to this after awhile.
Dean and Reed on the Great Wall. I love how the man is sitting watching them.

Great Wall of China!
And here we are at the Great Wall of China holding Faith's referral photos. She never left our minds for a moment and the following day couldn't get there fast enough to have her placed in our arms! We were ready to become a family of 5!!!!

Things are a little crazy right now with a new puppy, but I just had to take some time to stop and blog about this amazing miracle that was about to happen to us 4 years ago today!

Oh, I just loved this post! It must be so strange to write about it now and how you were feeling...but really remembering every detail even after 4 years! That is how I feel and hope I always will: those moments in China will never leave me, I remember everything and how I felt too...
