SNOW!!!!

We had a perfect day yesterday playing in the snow!! The kids have been asking to go see the snow for the longest time (we are about 2 hours from Lake Tahoe) but with the terrible weather we had been having and then us all being sick the timing just hasn't been good. Well, yesterday was a gorgeous day and we took advantage of it!! We loaded up the van to take a drive for the day up the mountain to let the kids play at one of the local snow parks. The drive was so nice and when we got to the snow park they were not letting anyone else in!! It was over crowded and there was no longer any parking!! OK, change in plans! We drove around trying to find a spot off the road to park just to let the kids play for a bit. Well, I think everyone in CA had the same idea. It was soooo crowded everywhere! I was really getting afraid we wouldn't find a good spot and then we happen to pass a secluded road that looked like it was someones driveway. We went past it and then at the last minute Dale said let's turn around and just check that road out. Well, it curved around a little and brought us to a nice secluded area where there was not a soul in sight! We had it all to ourselves! (I think everyone must have figured it was someones house) We spent a few hours enjoying the beautiful day playing in the snow. I don't think Reed ever stopped smiling. Dale and I were like kids again sliding down the hill and making snow angels. Our only regret was that we didn't bring Ruby. We kept her at home as it is still "that time of the month" for her. Little did we know we would have an entire area to ourselves where we wouldn't have to worry about other dogs. It was such a fantastic time!! With the exception of us being totally clueless with how to dress for playing in the snow....it was a perfect day! Poor Faith was soaked from the snow by the time we left and her unprepared Mommy did not bring any change of clothes for her so she had to drive home in her underwear. Luckily we did have some blankets in the car. She thought it was pretty hilarious getting to sit in her car seat in just her underwear!
