Happy Chinese New Year!!!!!!!!! Gung Hay Fat Choy!

It has been a pretty rough week in the Miller household! After all 3 kids being sick, you know the entire family had to get it! Yep! I was sick all week-end and Dale has had it the past few days. I will spare you the details (trust me it wasn't pretty!) as I am ready to put the past week behind me. I am just thankful we were not all sick at the exact same time.
I've been trying to get caught up on things after such a rough week. The house is messy and needs a good cleaning (not a great way to start off the Chinese New Year!) I have loads of laundry to catch up on and to top it all off Ruby "went into heat" on Monday. But we are feeling healthy again so I am thankful!! Faith and I have been having fun the last few days preparing for Chinese New Year. We plan to celebrate Friday evening with a few other families from our area that also have children from China. We will be celebrating at a local Chinese restaurant where I made reservations. They have us set up in a nice banquet room. I have "red envelopes" for the kids that I will fill with chocolate coins. Looking forward to bringing in "The Year of the Rat!" We are also looking forward to the new "Ni Hao Kai Lan" show starting tomorrow! We watched a preview show they had on Demand television and Faith loooves it!

On Saturday Dale took the kids to the ice skating rink for a free ice skating lesson Reeds school was offering. Faith had her first experience on ice skates! I felt terrible missing it, but I was still feeling really rough. She was sooo excited about going. Dale said she was a real trooper and never gave up even when she fell. He said she actually did pretty good. She was so cute when she came home all worn out with rosy cheeks. This is how our conversation went:

Me: "Faith, did you have a good time ice skating?"
Faith: Yes, I did.
Me: Would you like to go again?
Faith, "No"
Me: (laughing) You don't want to go again, why not?
Faith: Well, not until I am seven!

I can't believe I do not even have any pictures of her first time ice skating! I managed to take one picture of her right before they left the house all set to go...........
And here are just a few photos I thought were cute that I took during bath time........

Bath time bubble fun.......................

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by my blog! It is always fun to have new guests. I am sorry you all have been sick. That's NO fun...

Faith is so pretty and I love her name because that's what this journey is about, right???

SA has grown like crazy in the 12 years I've been here. My DH was in the Navy for 9 years and that's what brought us here. We met in Sacramento...

Wishing you all the best as you possibly make some big life changes. Please stop by again.

All the best,
Lisa
