Spanish Hat and Faith sings Do Re Mi!!!

When living in Spain we bought Reed this Spanish hat for him to wear when they had Spanish Days at school. He was never too thrilled about dressing up and I think he only wore the hat a few times.

For some reason through the years I held on to the hat and could never seem to part with it. I guess because it was something we got while in Spain.

Little did I know at the time of getting Reed that black Spanish hat that several years later I would have a daughter that adores wearing it.....................

Faith has always loved dressing up and lately she is very attached to this hat! She even has to wear it to school. When ever she wears her black boots she says "let me go get my black hat!"

Just recently I introduced "The Sound of Music" to Faith. Although she gets restless with watching the entire movie, she cannot get enough of the songs. She LOVES them. Her Grandma bought her the new DVD in which you can play only the songs from the movie. Faith has figured out how to do this and she will listen to them over and over. Her favorite is the goat puppet show song. It is so much fun for me to watch her sing along to these songs as this has always been one of my favorite movies. When we lived in Europe (before Faith) we even took a trip to Austria and went on the Sound of Music tour. We were able to see all the spots where they filmed the movie. It was very surreal for me. I would love to one day bring Faith on that same tour.
Here is a little clip I took of Faith singing Do Re Mi in her black hat! Normally when she sings she dances around, but she was afraid of her hat falling off so she wanted to sit down to sing. lol! (Pearl was also trying to jump up on her so she was a little distracted by that:)
