The school year has officially started for everyone now in the Miller household!! It didn't quite feel official until Dean started too and his first day was on Wednesday. It has been a little crazy (for me!) these last few days adjusting to schedules and getting back into the routine of things, but looks like we are off to a GREAT year!!! It's nice having two at one school again even though Faith has afternoon Kindergarten.
I've been helping out for the entire day once a week in Faith's class and am really enjoying it. (although I have to say I am feeling my age! I am glad Kindergarten is only half days because I am pooped after the day! I don't remember feeling that way back when the boys were in K) Faith loves for me to be there (she asks me to work in her class everyday.....yikes! Mommy needs a little break:0) and I love being able to watch Faith in action at school. She loves all her little friends and she is greeted every morning with hugs from them all. It is such a wonderful feeling watching her thrive and blossom in this next chapter in her life!
I took this of Faith today before heading off to school....notice Pearl checking out the lunchbox!
My sleepy head grabbing a bite to eat before we head off to take her brothers to school!
(As much as I griped at first about Faith not getting morning Kindergarten, I have to say it has been a blessing her getting afternoon! I love being able to come home after dropping the boys off and after the hectic morning being able to still have those quiet few hours with her. It's nice getting to take our time getting ready for Kindergarten. And it helps me too not feel "the empty nest syndrome" quite so bad!!:)
We are planning to spend a day at the beach this week-end to try and hold on to summer just a little longer!!!! On Monday we will be celebrating Dean's 13th Birthday!!!!!!! We will have a teen-ager in the house!!!!!!!!

What a big day! Faith looks so proud with her backpack! We still have a little over a week before we go back.
I love how you have the extra time with her during the morning. I just can't seem to get all of us moving in the morning very well, I would love it if that was an option!
Oh boy, a teenager in the house, Dayton turned 13 3 months ago and boy oh boy, things are a changin'. Be prepared!
Wow, a teenager...exciting times ahead!! I forgot that some places do half-day Kindergarten! Elliot goes a full day! We're not allowed to help in the classroom until after Oct (until the children adjust) which is fine with me, as I know I'd be pooped too! :) After I sent them off this morning, I went back to bed and slept for a few hours! lol I'm sure it's quite interesting to see them interacting at school though!
Faith looks adorable in her school outfit!!! Your boys are quite cute, too! : )
I am glad everything is going well with the new school year and how nice that you can help out in the K room!!
Hey, have a WONDERFUL time at the beach!!!!
Love Faith's outfit :) I'm glad to hear you are liking afternoon K, as that is when my little "E" will be going. He will get on the bus and Miss Mia will go down for a nap - what is a mommy to do? Quiet time? What is that :)
Sounds like the Miller house is popping! I loved the pictures of the boys before school. They are so handsome. I also love the picture of Faith and her puppy...so sweet. I am glad it is all going so well for everyone. Isn't that the best feeling?
Have a great rest of the weekend.
Thats great that you are helping out in Faiths classroom. It sounds like fun. Thats a cute pic of your doggie smelling the lunchbox.
Oh I remember kindergarten with my big kids! So hard to let go of the babies!!! She looks so excited and proud!
