Faith's class exchanged Valentine's on Friday. They had to be handmade and no candy was allowed. She had fun making them and as much as I dreaded the extra time it took into her writing each one, I have to admit the hand made ones are awfully cute and it was so much fun to see what each child came up with and the special words they wrote.
Unfortunately they have taken ALL sweets out of school this year. I know their trying to promote healthier eating, but come on. Couldn't they at least have one cookie for Valentine's Day. It is just sad how they have gone so over board with the whole thing. Faith's class made yogurt fruit parfaits which at least the kids did have fun making.
I had a big heart lollipop waiting for Faith when she came home from school to enjoy while we read all of her Valentine's. Because. You just can't have Valentine's and no candy! It's just not right! Right?

We are busy this week-end working around the house. Dale has started working on the yards and I am still trying to get things in place. Our old house we were renting had a huge amount of storage space and our new home has very little. I am hoping this will be a good thing as it is forcing me to get rid of stuff we just do not need. It is tough though being creative with where to put things we do need.
Well, need to go put Valentine's out for the kids to find in the morning. Oh, and red envelopes too for Chinese New Year!!
Have a great one!!!!!!

You HAVE to have candy on Valentine's Day. Sheesh.
Also, kudos to you for helping Faith make homemade Valentine's. I'm always at the supermarket in the middle of the night the night before buying whatever's left.
Happy late Valentines to all of you! I know what you mean about the candy at school, I agree that sweets should be kept out of every day, but not on Valentines! Faith did seem to really enjoy her lollipop!
Do you have your TY zodiak tiger for pictures?!?! I ordered mine & already got it - NEED to get some pictures done SOON :)
Loving Faith & all her Valentines - what a heart breaker! The candy is the best part!
She is so adorable and I couldn't agree with you more. Livi's class this year would not allow candy to be sent to school...how dumb is that. So I sent tattoo's and play-do...: )
We have the same problem Colleen, less storage - what a pain and boy does a new house take up alot of time hey?
Love Jules
