On Saturday we took advantage of the sunny 70 degree weather we have been having and decided to hop in the van and take a drive towards the coast. So with the windows rolled down and the music playing we went California cruisin in January!
The kids wanted to find tide pools but after 2 hours of driving and no luck finding them we decided to stop and just hang out at the beach for a few hours. It was such a beautiful day relaxing by the ocean and listening to the

It's hard to tell by this photo because Faith's hair was so wind blown, but I had it cut a few days ago and had them really frame her face. She has not been wanting me to put bows or hair clips in her hair as much :( so she needed a cut to keep her hair out of her face.
Faith found this large stick that she played with forever............

And just on a side note...how is it that with only spending a few hours at the beach I have about a weeks worth of laundry to catch up on!

It was "warm" here in NY over the weekend: 31 degrees! It's been in the teens here and the kids were finally able to go out and play in the snow - your kids playing at the beach, mine playing in the snow :)
