This is how nap time use to be for Faith (sleeping like an angel!) That is until a couple months ago!!
Faith use to take such wonderful naps! It took her a little while to fall asleep, but then she would sleep a good 1-2 hours! Bliss! Well, I noticed a couple months ago it taking longer and longer for her to fall asleep. She would stay in her bed talking, singing, and looking at her books. I didn't mind because at least she was staying in her bed and getting some kind of down time. Eventually she just never fell alseep she just stayed in her bed for a good hour entertaining her self quietly. Well, that didn't last long! After awhile instead of books in her bed it became toys and giggling and talking really loud. I knew my nap days were numbered! I was being hopeful though as just the other day it was awfully quiet in her room. I thought, yes! she is alsleep! Can we finally get back on that routine! Well, to my surprise she had decided to get her markers and color herself as well as her bed and walls. I think I was more disappointed that she wasn't asleeep than I was about the marker mess! Oh Well! I am still trying to hang on to our nap days hoping this is just a faze she is going through, but I realize it is not the actual nap- time peacefulness I miss it is the realization that my baby is growing up. (Well OK, maybe I do miss my peaceful hour or two just alittle!:)
