A very blessed Mother's Day!

"If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden"~

I have really been enjoying the roses in our back yard. We had lots of beautiful rose bushes at our old house so I am so happy our new house has them too.

We spent Mother's Day week end in Lake Tahoe. It was kind of a last minute planned get away and was the perfect way to spend Mother's Day...........
(please excuse Pearl in this photo.....she has no modesty!)

We have a favorite place to stay which is a quaint bed and breakfast type lodging with a rustic cabin feel. The best part for us is that they not only take dogs, but they welcome them as guests:) They have the best waffles for breakfast and smores over a fire every evening which the kids love. We spent the week-end enjoying the lake and taking walks in the woods.

We are so blessed to have such a breath taking place to just "get away" to less than 3 hours from our home.

Colleen,

One more thing, I want to catch uo with you later and talk to you about some info. I found out in China last time we were there. Our guide who was born in and grew up in Gansu is pretty confident that Sofia is from a minority up there and gave me the name and I think Faith may be as well since both girls have such light complexions and almost Western features. We'll talk later okay?

Hugs,
Jonni

I'm gonna have to get back to Tahoe one of these days. It looks like a great way to spend Mother's Day. It's quite a bit more than three hours from here, but it's still drivable.

I cannot believe you named your dog Pearl!

Gorgeous pictures and especially your beautiful family!! I have been meaning to get back to you forever about the hair. Faith looks so beautiful with long but coiuld do anything. I leave it up to Bailey who wants it cut so we are off soon to do it again. We have to have it cut behind Britton's back since she is always trying to talk Bailey into long! Hair is such a big issue for women, its hard enough trying to figure out what to do with our own then to add daughters! lol

One of these days we will have to try and meet up!!
